Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, strong patient interaction skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT-approved school of completion of program with scheduled graduation date. Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until degree verification. Technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification is obtained. Two years of experience is required.
- Certifications and Licenses: ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73.
- Position Description: Independently performs diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing established protocols. Uses complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data. Administers contrast agents per physician orders and demonstrates effective communication skills with patients and team members. Ensures all exams are correctly coded, networked, and documented as per protocol.

- Additional Information: The candidate should be comfortable performing a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative. Ability to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate with departmental teams is essential.
