    Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) Must-Have: American Heart Association BLS within 60 days of hire Description: Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, including on-call services, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in an acute care environment. Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited program or equivalent is required. One year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred. Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by medical staff. Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures. Completes documentation for all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams. Verifies written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures. Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. Completes appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality. Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment. Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment as required. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines. Regular and sustained attendance is required. This position may necessitate working beyond a standard workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, maintaining a sitting or standing posture for extended periods, walking within the work area, and using fine finger movements.
