Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited program or equivalent is required. One year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred. Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by medical staff. Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures. Completes documentation for all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams. Verifies written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures. Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. Completes appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality. Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment. Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment as required.
