Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $3,519 to $3,719 per week in Glendale, CA

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
• BLS certification
• 2 years' experience as a nuclear med tech
• CA license
• Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NCT) via NMTCB Certificate, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuc Med) - ARRT (N), or NMTCB
• One (1) year or more as a Nuclear Med Technologist in a full service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department
• Computer skills for operating within the RIS/HIS/PACS
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to successfully complete job related communication and arithmetic calculations required of the position
• Radiation Safety/Safety Program related courses
• Current CPR
• Knowledge of myocardial perfusion Lexiscan, hepatobiliary system scan, renal imaging with Lasix, radiopharm local inflam proc WBC, lymphoscintigraphy, bone scan imaging, lung perfusion and ventilation scans, and thyroid uptake and scans
• IV certification

Assignment Details

• Hours: 07:30-16:00
• Days: Monday-Friday
• Weekend requirement: 1-2 weekends a month
• Holiday requirement: Per need
• Call requirement: Weekend call per need
• Scheduled in advance. No self-scheduling.
• Floating/Covering Other Areas: No
• Charting systems: Cerner EMR and Merge PACS
• Department-specific equipment: Siemens Symbia and Philips Forte
• IV starts required, mainly for outpatients
• Scrub color: Teal scrubs not provided
