Description

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days M-F Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ND State License Certifications: NMTCB CNMT or ARRT CNMT, CPR BLS Must-Have: - Must note in submission if previously worked for any affiliated organization. - Must have an end date 6 months prior to submission date if previously employed. - Must be available for call every 5 weeks for the week. - Must be able to work alone while on call, but assistance will be available within the facility. Description: Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures. Calculates diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. Strictly adheres to safety standards during procedures. Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations. Maintains strict attention to patient care in accordance with department policy. Carries out hot lab duties and conducts a variety of nuclear medicine studies. Works with inpatients and outpatients of all age groups, from neonate to geriatric. Has knowledge of nuclear regulatory commission rules and regulations. Practices radiation safety and operates all cameras and equipment safely. Processes and sends data to required destinations via computer. Understands theories and principles behind equipment and tests in the nuclear medicine department. Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction. Employs radiation-detecting equipment for patient imaging procedures. Describes procedures to patients and answers questions. Implements radiation safety standards and quality assurance in daily work. Monitors a patient's condition during imaging procedures. Collects patient information, analyzes data, and provides quality images for diagnosis. May be responsible and cross-trained in performing positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET/CT) scans. Has a thorough understanding of all processes related to PET/CT. Possesses the ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures after appropriate orientation. Works with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Utilizes Siemens Symbia Cameras and employs Epic Charting and SECTRA PACS for operations. Operates under M-F hours and provides call support as needed. Every other holiday may be required.
