Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Days | Travel Contract

Location: Dallas, TX
Department: Radiology – Nuclear Medicine
Contract: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
Shift Times: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Weekend: None
On-Call: Possible

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine examinations and procedures according to established protocols.
  • Conduct quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and perform appropriate equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate procedures.
  • Document radioactive material receipt and disposition, quality-control data, patient procedures, and medical records.
  • Ensure examinations and procedures comply with established guidelines.
  • Operate Gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment.
  • Administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start IV lines.
  • Perform cardiac nuclear medicine studies using basic EKG knowledge.
  • Provide clinical instruction to Radiology students and residents.
  • Maintain knowledge of current nuclear medicine technology, regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Promote positive relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, residents, and coworkers.
  • Participate in process-improvement initiatives and support department goals.
