Description:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
The technologist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
They will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
The technologist must be flexible by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed.
They must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure is expected.
The technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
They will observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures.
Clienttion safety protocol must be maintained while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals used in the department.
Daily logs and periodic tests performed as required by the license must be completed.
Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
The technologist must meet expectations of applicable competencies.
They must demonstrate adherence to core values.
Consistency with administrative and departmental policies is required with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.

Exceptional physician satisfaction must be promoted by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.

Assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods must be appropriately adapted for each patient’s unique needs.
Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care is essential as deemed by relevant regulatory entities.
Examinations/procedures must be performed as needed to assist in patient throughput.
Flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses is necessary.
Completed exams must be scanned and stored correctly in the PACS system.
Following PACS downtime procedures as a PACS superuser is required.
Any equipment malfunctions must be troubleshot and reported to the appropriate personnel.
Other duties as assigned must be performed.
Job Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted equivalent required.
Experience: 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
Skills: Basic computer experience required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification required.
State Licensure required.
BLS certification required.
