Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Description: Responsible for performing all aspects of patient exam activities in nuclear medicine. Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies, including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes. Properly identifies, prepares, and administers medications/substances as prescribed. Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety. Complies with all regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Maintains all required documentation in paper and electronic formats. Maintains an adequate supply of all consumables for quality testing. Performs routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment. May assist other areas of radiology as assigned. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
