Job Title: Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine Description: Responsible for performing all aspects of patient exam activities of nuclear medicine. Conducts diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging. Obtains patient history and explains standard procedures. Addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence. Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies, measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes. Properly identifies and administers medications/substances as prescribed. Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety. Complies with all regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Maintains required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in various formats. Maintains an adequate supply of consumables for quality testing. Performs routine maintenance and function checks of imaging equipment. May assist other areas of radiology as assigned. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
