Contract | Days (4x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patient populations
- Adapt clinical practice to meet the needs of varied pediatric units as assigned per float pool policy
- Participate in every other weekend and every other holiday rotation as required
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a Pediatric PACU setting highly preferred
- Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
- BSN preferred
