Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU Level III position requiring documented NICU III/PICU skills and float availability to PICU, PEDS, and Mother/Baby units.
Details
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-8:00 AM)
- 37.5 hours per week with every other weekend (Sat/Sun) required
- Based in NICU Level III with float requirements to PICU, PEDS, and Mother/Baby (excluding maternal care)
- Patient assignments based on individual skill set with ratios varying by acuity
- Cares for neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation
- Utilizes Epic charting system
- Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 designated holidays
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP highly preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience required
- Documented NICU III and PICU skills experience in employment history required
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, and central/implanted line care
- Skilled in UAC and UVC management
- Cardiovascular skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Gastrointestinal skills including feeding methods and NG/NJ tube placement and management
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Medication administration experience including IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
- Experience managing neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Ventilator management experience (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
