• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• At least 1.5 years of NICU experience required
• Documented experience in Level III NICU and PICU settings
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Strong neonatal critical care skills, including ventilator management and line care
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend
• Comfortable floating between NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery as assigned
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU environment
• Support a NICU-based float pool and adapt to assignments based on skill set and patient needs
• Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, implanted lines, UAC/UVC access, and IV therapies
• Administer and monitor IV vasopressors, steroids, surfactants, and other neonatal medications
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and support advanced respiratory care, including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, PEEP, AC, PC, and SIMV
• Assist with neonatal feeding plans, tube placement and management, and care for infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Document care accurately in EPIC and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach while caring for medically complex newborns
