• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
• Charting System: EPIC experience preferred
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to NBN, Pediatrics, and PICU as needed for an appropriate assignment
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 to 1:3; up to 1:4 in IMCU

Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
• Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for neonates 29-34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks
• Comfort with vents, intubated patients, and respiratory support such as HFNC
• Experience with medication administration, blood products, IV starts, and neonatal dosage calculations
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with patient and family education, infection control, and developmental care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to neonatal patients in a NICU setting
• Monitor respiratory status and support infants requiring oxygen therapy and ventilator management
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to neonatal protocols
• Support feeding, glucose monitoring, phototherapy, and other common neonatal interventions
• Assist with developmental care, family education, and discharge readiness planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote the best possible outcomes for newborns
• Float within scope to approved units when appropriate patient assignments are available
