Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring vent and trach experience along with NRP, BLS, and PALS certifications.

• Level IV NICU with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological neonatal conditions
• Supports a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center
• High volume of intubated and acute infants on the unit
• Patient population includes Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Failure to Thrive, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hypoglycemia, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension
• Uses specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, RAM Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights and Blankets
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend
• Floating required within the hospital, potentially to the Liberty campus
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Vent and trach experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
• No previous license hits allowed

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to high acuity neonates in a Level IV NICU setting
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and local rates will apply
• Previous employees of the facility are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their termination date
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 5 days total
• An additional background check and fingerprinting will be required onsite on the first day
