Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 26-week travel assignment with Providence Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- Epic experience required
- BLS required
- NRP Advanced required
- Travel experience not required
- Experience with Level II/III NICU required; Level IV experience preferred
Clinical Experience
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Prematurity and neonatal respiratory distress
- Sepsis and neonatal sepsis workups
- Hypoglycemia
- HIE
- UAC/UVC management
- Central and arterial line care
- Blood product administration
- Neonatal medication calculations
- Surfactant therapy
- Therapeutic hypothermia
- NEC and post-abdominal surgery care
- Gavage, bottle, and breastfeeding support
- Bubble CPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, nitric oxide, and ventilator management
- Chest tube and tracheostomy care
- Neonatal abstinence syndrome and seizure disorders
Unit Details
- 43-bed NICU
- Average daily census: approximately 35
- Neonatal patient population
- Typical experience expectation: approximately 1:2–4
- Self-scheduling
- Float may be required to Pediatrics, PICU, or Pediatric ED as needed
- Approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
- 12 hours of orientation
