  • Setting: Level IV NICU with support for high-acuity neonatal and pediatric overflow needs
  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 — a vibrant, welcoming college town with a lively downtown, great food, and easy access to parks and cultural attractions
  • Start Date: 10/12/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekend Coverage: 2 of 4 weekends
  • Orientation: 36 hours onsite
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

Job Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission; compact licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU RN experience required
  • PICU experience required
  • Experience working in a Trauma Level I environment required
  • Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required before start date
  • Experience charting in Epic required
  • Two manager or supervisor references required
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal care setting and adapt to occasional PICU staffing needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert bedside care for critically ill neonates in a busy Level IV NICU
  • Respond to high-risk deliveries and support newborn stabilization
  • Manage neonatal IV therapy, central lines, and advanced monitoring needs
  • Deliver family-centered education and support throughout the hospitalization experience
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social work, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Assist with complex neonatal therapies such as ventilation support, phototherapy, and thermoregulation care
  • Float or assist in PICU care as needed based on unit demand
  • Document accurately in Epic and maintain safe, evidence-based nursing practice
