Position Overview
Providence Covenant Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 26-week travel contract on the night shift.
This position is in a Level IV NICU and is best suited for an RN with at least 2 years of NICU experience. Level III NICU experience is preferred.
The unit cares for neonates with a wide range of conditions, including prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, HIE, and surgical conditions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of NICU experience
- RN experience with a 1:2-4 patient ratio
- Epic experience required
- BLS
- NRP Advanced
- Travel nursing experience is not required
Preferred Experience
- Level III NICU experience preferred
- Level IV NICU experience is preferred
- Experience caring for neonates under 24-28 weeks preferred
- Invasive hemodynamic monitoring preferred
Schedule & Staffing
- Block Scheduling: Required
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling
- Weekends: Required
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts during a 6-week scheduling period; coverage may vary based on self-scheduling
- 48-hour schedules: Not approved
- Call: Not required
- Float: Required
