Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting in accordance with scope of practice and unit protocols
• Utilize Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding methodology as part of patient care delivery
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements, including 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period and 2 of 3 designated winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must not have exceeded 365 total assignment days at this facility; candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or internal travelers require a 1-year separation and leadership approval
• This unit does not accept local candidates — candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with specialty-specific orientation modules
