Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with Level III NICU experience and Cerner charting proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Details

  • Level III NICU unit within a hospital setting
  • Neonatal patient population including infants under 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and over 34 weeks
  • Patient ratio of 1:2-3
  • Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) schedules available
  • Call requirement of up to 4 shifts within an 8-week period
  • Floating primarily within Pediatrics and NICU service line, with possible float to any unit as a 1:1 safety sitter
  • Scrubs provided

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand
  • BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
  • 5 years of prior NICU RN experience required
  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Skilled in IV therapy, UAC/UVC management, neonatal dosage calculations, and administration of emergency medications
  • Experience with APGAR scoring, developmental care, phlebotomy, and thermoregulation
  • References required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates, including high-risk delivery attendance
  • Perform respiratory support interventions such as ventilator management, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula care as needed
  • Support patient and family education and developmental care practices
  • Must reside 75+ miles from the facility to be considered for this position
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application
