Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Level II-III NICU position on night shift requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and NRP certification.

Details

NICU unit within Women's Services in a hospital setting
41-bed unit with approximately 60 staff, including 9+ RNs and a charge nurse per shift
Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and rarely 1:4
Equipment used includes HFOV, central lines, conventional ventilators, CPAP, NIPPV, and ostomy care supplies
EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech
Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
No on-call requirements
Floating required to the Nursery

Requirements

Active RN license (TX or compact) required
BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
Level II-III NICU experience required
Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

Additional Information

Provide care for NICU patients including those requiring surgery (excluding head/heart procedures), respiratory support, and micro-preemie care
Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
Scrub color/attire is royal blue
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
