Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring NRP certification and prior Level III NICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU within a children's hospital setting
• Unit staffed with RNs, charge RNs, respiratory therapists, and techs across day and night shifts
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45PM to 7:15AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only) units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Current NRP certification required; NIC-RNC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
• Work within a large academic-affiliated children's hospital known for pediatric subspecialty care
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Detail-oriented and organized personality is ideal for this role
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
