Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Unit Information

• Unit Type: NICU
• Level of NICU: III
• Number of Beds: 52
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
• Common Diagnoses: Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), Prematurity, Hypoglycemia

Required Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level II or III NICU
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to neonatal patients, including but not limited to:

• Monitoring vital signs and health status of patients
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educating families on neonatal care and health management

Additional Information

• Orientation: One shift on unit; clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend commitment.
• Holiday Requirements: One major winter holiday per unit needs.
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs.
• Floating Requirements: In cases of extreme need, may float within designated zones.

Location

This position is located in City, State. Candidates must be able to commute within a 60-mile radius.
