Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Salt Lake City, Utah.

                                                         RN NICU

 

Shift: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

 

Certification: BLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE

 

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Minimum 2 years recent Level 3 or greater NICU experience

 

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· Experience in Level IV NICU or regional referral NICU

· Experience caring for micro-preemies (<28 weeks gestation) and extremely low birth weight infants

· Experience with high-frequency ventilation (HFOV/HFJV) and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)

· Experience assisting with and caring for infants after PICC insertion, chest tube placement, and neonatal procedures

· Experience with therapeutic hypothermia (cooling) protocols

· Experience caring for infants with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE)

· Team-oriented and collaborative with neonatologists, NNPs, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams

· Calm, focused, and able to prioritize effectively in high-acuity and rapidly changing situations

· Adaptable and self-directed, with the ability to quickly integrate into a new unit and workflow

· Strong critical thinking and attention to detail when caring for fragile neonatal patients

· Excellent communication skills with providers, coworkers, and families

· Compassionate and family-centered, supporting parents through stressful and complex neonatal hospitalizations

· Comfortable caring for both intensive care and feeder-grower patient populations

· Receptive to feedback and committed to maintaining patient safety and quality standards

· Positive attitude with a willingness to assist team members and contribute to unit culture

· Confident and professional when managing emotionally challenging situations
