Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring at least one year of Level III NICU experience and management of central lines and respiratory care up to intubated infants.

Details

• 108-bed NICU at a hospital setting
• Level III NICU with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Unit staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• Utilizes Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, Vents, Oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, Warmers, and Isolettes
• Documentation via CPN and Meditech
• Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• Contract staff float before core staff to PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, caring for patients under 2 years old

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with preemies at 28 weeks gestation and above required
• Experience managing central lines required
• Experience with respiratory management up to and including intubated patients required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for a range of NICU patients including surgical and cardiac cases, infants under 27 weeks, trach infants, and broviac lines is preferred
• Unit performs procedures including central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laparotomies, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered - no local candidates accepted
