Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a busy, high-volume Level III-IV NICU serving a regional neonatal population
  • Maintain a 1:3 patient ratio within the NICU setting
  • Participate in a neonatal transport team environment supporting Southern AZ
  • Float to PICU/PEDS as needed, caring for infants 6 months or younger, including NICU overflow Level II patients at 1:1 or 1:2 ratios
  • May occasionally float to perform assessments, vitals, and labs on well newborns in Labor & Delivery or Mother/Baby units
  • Complete 6 weekend shifts per contract period; no on-call requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
  • Level III-IV NICU experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in high-volume delivery hospital environments
  • Comfort with floating to PICU settings and caring for a range of neonatal and infant patients
  • Strong adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced NICU environments
