Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with NICU Level II & III experience and NRP Advanced certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• NICU Level II & III unit setting
• Cares for neonates across gestational ranges including <24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and >34 weeks
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
• On-call required for late stay coverage if needed
• Epic charting system preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required (1 year considered case by case)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP Advanced
• STABLE certification preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Pending license accepted if obtained prior to start

Additional Information

• Must live within 75 miles of the facility; no local candidates accepted outside this radius
• Must complete pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test on first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Must submit all requested RTO during the initial submission process; requests after submission will not be considered
• One holiday with 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks required, OR 2 holidays with no on-call/additional shifts
• Attendance policy in place; missing more than 2 shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• Former permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
