Description

American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring BLS, NRP certification, and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit of a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks with November start dates
  • 36 or 48 hours per pay period
  • Required to work 3 weekends out of a 6-week scheduling period
  • Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required, license pending accepted at submission
  • BLS certification required
  • NRP certification required in-hand at time of consideration
  • Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required, though may be pending at time of consideration
  • Epic EMR experience required for float pool and inpatient units

Additional Information

  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a NICU setting
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per contract
  • Time off cannot be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment
  • No radius rule for this position
  • Candidates must wait 12 months after a prior travel assignment before returning as a traveler
