Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Patient ratio of 2:1. Block scheduling available for those who prefer working three or more consecutive shifts. Intermittent weekend coverage required, with flexibility to accommodate schedule requests.

Highlights:

  • Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and average daily census of 50 patients
  • Care for neonates as young as 23-24 weeks gestation with complex medical needs
  • Comprehensive experience with high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, CPAP/BiPap, therapeutic hypothermia, PICC/central lines, and blood product administration
  • Participation in high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries
  • Dedicated admit nurse role means travelers typically do not admit babies
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required; must have at least 3 years in Level III NICU or 2 years in Level IV NICU
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Proficiency in neonatal dosage calculations, ventilator management, central line care, feeding tubes, and blood product administration
  • Willingness to float to nearby campuses as needed
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
