Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Unit Highlights
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This unit plays a crucial role in caring for our most vulnerable patients.
General Information
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Details: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Call Requirements: No
Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 7
- Patient Ratios: 2:3
- Type of Equipment: BCPAP, HFNC
- Documentation System: Meditech, CPN
- Scheduling Requirements: Self Scheduling
- Floating Policy: As needed
Qualifications
- Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital/specialty experience
- Experience in a Level III NICU
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Able to attend deliveries, including C-sections
- Preferred Skills:
- Team player
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Licensure: Active RN license in Texas required; temporary licenses will not be accepted.
Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Royal blue and/or white scrubs
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gels, etc.
- Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors. Hair must be tied back if shoulder length or longer.
- Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
Unit Guidelines and Policies
- Floating Guidelines: As needed, based on unit requirements.
- Attendance Policies: Adherence to the company-wide attendance policy is required.
