Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / NICU – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Block scheduling available for those preferring to work three or more consecutive shifts. Intermittent weekend coverage required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

  • Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and average daily census of 50 patients
  • Care for micro-preemies starting at 23-24 weeks gestation
  • 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts
  • Dedicated admit nurse role; travelers typically do not admit babies
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required (Level III for at least 3 years or Level IV for at least 2 years)
  • Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP), high-frequency vents, and oscillators
  • Proficiency in blood/blood products administration, central line care, PICC lines, therapeutic hypothermia, and feeding tube placement/management
  • Must be willing to float to nearby campuses as needed
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
