Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Care for neonates across gestational ages including under 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and over 34 weeks
  • Patient ratio of 1:2-3
  • Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekend commitment of 5 shifts per 6-week period with facility-set scheduling
  • Floating required within scope to other units and to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Active OK state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • Certifications required: BLS, NRP/NALS, and STABLE
  • Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
  • Experience with IV therapy, blood and blood product administration, arterial line management, and central line care
  • Experience with UAC and UVC catheter management
  • Experience with blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, and hyperbilirubinemia management
  • Experience with tube feedings and placement/management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
  • Experience with high frequency ventilation, chest tube management, nitric oxide therapy, and oscillators
  • Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome, neonatal dosage calculations, and surfactant administration
  • Experience with neonatal sepsis identification and sepsis work-up
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required along with a utility bill in the traveler's name matching a permanent address, dated within the last three months
  • Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include providing developmental care and patient/family teaching to NICU patients and their families
  • Support breastfeeding and proper handling of breast milk for NICU patients
  • Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted
  • Previous INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from the health system to be eligible for this travel assignment
