Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent NICU or neonatal Level III experience required
- Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Experience providing care in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care setting
- One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
- Required certifications must be active and ready for submission
- Ability to complete facility onboarding assessments during orientation
- Willingness to complete pre-start modules and required compliance steps before assignment begins
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU
- Monitor neonatal patients closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to NICU standards
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient updates effectively
- Support families with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient unit environment
- Follow facility protocols, safety standards, and all required compliance procedures
