**Join Our Dynamic NICU Team as a Travel RN!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Location: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Address: 101 E Ridge Road, McAllen, TX 78503 - Floor: 2nd floor - Building: Main - **Unit Details:** - **Number of Beds:** 19 bed unit - **Number of Staff:** 25 employees - **Daily Staffing:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge and 3 to 4 RNs - Night Shift: 1 Charge and 3 to 4 RNs - **Patient Ratios:** - Critical: 1:1 - Neonatal: 1 nurse - 2 patients - Intermediate: 1 Nurse - 3 patients - **Equipment:** - Ventilator - Jet Ventilator - Nitric Oxide Ventilator - **EMR:** CPN (Centricity Perinatal System) & Meditech - **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills:** - Ability to admit new patients to the unit - Experience working with different types of ventilators - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in infection prevention - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Starting peripheral intravenous lines - Central line maintenance and changing lines - **Personality Fit:** - Willingness to work as a team player - **Required Certifications:** - BLS - NRP within 6 months of hire - STABLE is encouraged - **Floating Areas:** - Pediatrics - PICU - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: Royal blue – HCA nursing uniform color - **Unit Policies and Guidelines:** - Bare below the elbows - Attendance Policy - Infection Prevention - **Schedule:** - Alternating weekends - 2 fall holidays - **Years of Experience Required:** - 1 year --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
