Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of total NICU experience, including 1 year of recent Level IV NICU experience
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, Med/Surg, and other units as needed
• Comfortable caring for complex BPD NICU patients with frequent trach care and heavy family involvement
• Strong skills in high-acuity neonatal nursing, including ventilator support and advanced monitoring
• Two professional references required at time of submission, including at least one manager or supervisor
• Travel clinicians must be prepared for facility float expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and expert nursing care to critically ill newborns and pediatric patients
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and support complex neonatal treatment plans
• Manage advanced respiratory support, IV therapies, blood products, and neonatal procedures as assigned
• Care for infants with respiratory distress, sepsis, surgical recovery, and other high-acuity conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated, family-centered care
• Float appropriately to related pediatric and critical care areas based on staffing needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Adapt quickly to a high-acuity NICU environment while helping deliver excellent outcomes for patients and families
