• Schedule: Self-scheduling with weekend coverage as needed; at most every other weekend

• Setting: Level IV NICU / neonatal float pool with flexibility to support other critical care and med-surg units

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• BLS and NRP required
• At least 1 year of recent Level IV NICU experience required
• At least 2 years of total Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Strong recent experience with neonatal critical care procedures, equipment, and patient assessment
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to provide 2 references at time of submission, including at least 1 manager or supervisor reference
• Comfort working with frequent trach care, BPD patients, and high family involvement
• Willingness to float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, Med-Surg, and other campuses as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
• Assess, monitor, and respond to complex neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, NEC, and post-surgical needs
• Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, central lines, arterial lines, UAC/UVC care, and IV therapies
• Support feedings, thermoregulation, phototherapy, and developmental and family-centered care
• Provide skilled tracheostomy care and support for patients with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and other long-term needs
• Float to designated critical care and medical-surgical units while maintaining excellent patient care standards
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes and smooth unit workflow
