Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients within a Level II NICU setting, managing high-risk deliveries, ventilator support, and invasive lines. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering exceptional neonatal care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; certifications including BLS, NRP, and STABLE; experience with high-risk deliveries, breastfeeding support, neonates over 29 weeks gestation, NICU II, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP); ability to attend high-risk deliveries and handle complex neonatal procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic; previous community hospital or Level II NICU experience; familiarity with neonatal patient diagnoses and special procedures such as managing CPAPUAC/UVC lines.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing neonatal patients with diagnoses such as infants at 32 weeks gestation and above, providing stabilization and transfer readiness when needed. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as part of operational flexibility.
