American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level IV NICU position at a pediatric hospital in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Level IV NICU unit within a large pediatric hospital setting
  • Includes a BPD (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia) NICU with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years, requiring comfort with frequent trach care and heavy parent involvement
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • Floating required to CVPICU, PICU, stepdown, MS, and on rare occasions the ED, as well as to other campuses including Riverside and St. Ann's locations
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU experience required
  • Willingness and ability to float to multiple specialties and campuses as needed
  • 2 manager or supervisor-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references are not accepted)

Additional Information

  • Two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24–48 hours, followed by a potential second interview with the NICU unit manager
  • Local candidates are not eligible for this position — candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
  • Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility must have at least a 2-year gap before being considered
  • Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced — no call/no-shows are taken very seriously and may result in termination
