  • Weekend Coverage: At most, every other weekend
  • Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with float expectations to other critical care and inpatient units as needed

Job Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • At least 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU nursing experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Level IV NICU experience required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Ability and willingness to float to other intensive care, stepdown, and med-surg units as needed
  • Comfort caring for complex neonates, including patients requiring tracheostomy care and long-term support
  • Two professional references required at submission, including at least one manager or supervisor reference

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in a NICU setting
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Administer medications, blood products, and specialized neonatal treatments per plan of care
  • Manage central lines, IVs, respiratory support, and other advanced NICU therapies
  • Support families through education, communication, and developmentally appropriate care
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the broader healthcare team to promote excellent outcomes
  • Float appropriately to related units and adjust to varying patient assignments based on facility needs
