Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in MESA, Arizona. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for neonatal patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. This position requires a dedicated RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within the NICU environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a minimum of one year of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting working with neonatal patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing and professional certification related to neonatal care.
  • Provides direct patient care, including assessments, planning, and documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participates in patient care planning, execution, and ongoing evaluation, ensuring family and multidisciplinary team involvement.
  • Documents care activities, patient responses, and physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with healthcare team members to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Engages in continuing education and professional development activities, including mentoring and precepting new staff or students.
  • Interacts effectively with patients, families, and external healthcare providers to coordinate care and provide spiritual support when needed.
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to patient care needs and use proper body mechanics to assist with patient transfers.
