- Position Description:
RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit responsible for delivering advanced care to newborns, including ventilator management and central line maintenance. Must work well with the neonatal population, demonstrate good communication and critical thinking skills, and handle multiple tasks independently. The unit operates on a rotating shift schedule of 12 hours, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week. The assignment duration is from October 26, 2026, to January 25, 2027. - Required Qualifications:
Current RN license, BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, three years of NICU experience, valid drivers license. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with ventilators and central lines in a Level III NICU. - Additional Information:
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a 90% passing score, utilizing provided resources. Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas. The NICU follows AWHONN/NANN guidelines, providing various care levels including continuous, intermediate, and multi-system support care. Float rotation may be required, with nurses occasionally floating to Mother-Baby or Labor & Delivery units. Candidates may be expected to work every third weekend and holiday, with shifts running from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and required to work 2 additional shifts every 6 weeks. - Submission Requirements:
