Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse - Night Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care for neonates in a Level II Special Care Nursery. The role requires working a 12-hour night shift with three weekend shifts per schedule, and may include floating to a sister hospital. The NICU Nurse will be responsible for caring for infants 32 weeks and above, including patients on CPAP and High Flow, feeders, sepsis, and hyperbilirubinemia.

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional information: This role involves starting all IVs independently, and the unit has a certified neonatal PICC team. NICU nurses may float to a sister hospital, Chandler Regional NICU. The unit operates with a Charge nurse attending high-risk deliveries, and has in-house NNPs and Pediatricians available 24/7. The work environment includes the use of CPAP and High Flow equipment, with no requirement to titrate drips. Charting is performed using Cerner.
