Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a fast-paced Inpatient Observation Unit requiring 2+ years of acute care specialty experience at a Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• Staff a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the ED
• Care for medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-hold patients ranging from lower to higher acuity
• Fast-paced environment with frequently changing patient acuity
• May be required to float to other areas of competency
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of like specialty experience in an acute care setting required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, complex trauma cases required
