Description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Transplant ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring Level I ICU experience and a compact or OK state RN license.

Details

• Work in the Neuro Transplant ICU at a hospital setting
• Care for patients with complex neurological and post-transplant health conditions
• Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
• Level I ICU experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State or compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of ICU patients
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after that period
