Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Tele/Stepdown position requiring MO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience.

Details

  • Flexacuity unit ranging from PCU/Stepdown to Telemetry, with a Neuro Tele/Stepdown focus
  • 1:4 patient ratios
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating to like units may be required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic charting system required

Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred
  • Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line/port management
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
  • Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy management
  • Experience with wound care and insulin drip titration preferred

Additional Information

  • Level II Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital setting with 497 staffed beds
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Must work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
  • Candidates must submit RTO dates at time of consideration
  • Local candidates within 70 miles are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
