Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro Stepdown/Telemetry position requiring MO or compact license and prior PCU/Stepdown experience.

Details

  • Work in the Stepdown Neuro unit of a Level II Trauma, teaching hospital
  • Flexacuity unit ranging from PCU/Stepdown to Telemetry acuity
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating may be required to like units
  • Epic EMR used, experience required

Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
  • Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response skills required
  • Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and blood product administration
  • Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy management
  • Experience with insulin drip titration and protocols

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care for neuro stepdown and telemetry patients, including cardiac drip titration and rapid response coordination
  • Scrub color required is navy blue
  • Must work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
  • Must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
  • RTO dates should be submitted at time of consideration
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
