This position is scheduled for 4x12 hour nights, with holidays and weekends as needed.

Job Description

Join our Neuro Stepdown and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) team, where you will care for a variety of higher acuity neuroscience patients. This role requires a strong background in neuro nursing and involves the management of patients post-craniotomy, patients with strokes, seizures, and those under epilepsy monitoring.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro Stepdown and EMU settings.
Monitor and assess neurological status of patients, implementing NIHSS protocols.
Titrate drips as ordered under physician supervision, primarily in accordance with established protocols.
Maintain patient safety and promote optimal patient outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license in the relevant state.
BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
Strong neuro experience with a focus on stroke and seizure management.
Experience with EVDs is preferred.
