Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring prior neuro experience and FL or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in a 52-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required to both the stepdown and PCU sides of the Neuro Floor, with possible floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, with driver's license address matching BON records
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with neuro experience mandatory
• Experience with Cardene and Cleviprex required
• Ability to read EKG rhythms required
• Degree accreditation must be documented on profile, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation documentation

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a culture where travelers are expected to function as core staff
• Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with strict enforcement including review of property ownership records
• No block scheduling requests accommodated
• All RTO must be submitted upfront, as facility will not approve RTO after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Candidates are expected to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from a distant home
