Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of neuro experience and active NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in a 52-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required to both stepdown and PCU sides of the Neuro Floor, with possible floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with required Neuro unit experience
• Experience with Cardene and Cleviprex required
• Ability to read EKG rhythms required
• Degree accreditation must be verifiable, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Documentation required for consideration: SS card, DL, COVID and Flu records

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into unit culture
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation and an in-person visit required for badge/ID pickup
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved after submission
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; this radius rule is strictly enforced
• Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
