Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current BLS certification required
• 1+ year of hospital nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for general medical-surgical patients with varying diagnoses
• Comfort working with telemetry patients and basic respiratory support, including stable CPAP/BiPAP or low-flow oxygen
• Ability to titrate Heparin drips
• ACLS preferred for Charge RN opportunities
• Ability to provide requested submission items, including last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
• Negative drug screen required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications and manage Heparin drips per protocol
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
• Perform and assist with IV starts and use unit resources when additional support is needed
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented patient care environment
