Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Med/Surg RN or related acute care nursing experience
• Current active RN licensure
• NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen preferred
• Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Comfort completing dysrhythmia and math dosage competency testing during orientation
• Experience caring for adult neuro patients is highly preferred
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed
• Willingness to complete all required onboarding and clearance steps before start

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult med/surg and neuro patients
• Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as CVA, TIA, seizures, and respiratory or urinary conditions
• Perform ongoing neurological checks, cardiac monitoring, and clinical surveillance for changes in condition
• Administer medications, support treatments, and carry out provider orders accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes and smooth transitions of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly in the EHR
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced acute care environment
