RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Neuro MedSurg Acute |

Assignment Overview

Join our Neuro MedSurg Acute team as a travel Registered Nurse. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, and brain injuries. The ideal candidate will have Level 1 trauma experience and prior neuro unit experience.

Assignment Details

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Location:
  • Shift: 12-hour days
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Every other
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Number of beds: 54 (includes 2 semi-private rooms)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: Day 1:4-5, Night 1:5-6
  • Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available 24/7
  • Floating: General unit traveler floats and is supported by trained nurses for specific units

Responsibilities

  • Titrate Heparin drips based on PTT
  • Provide care to stable COVID patients requiring high flow
  • Collaborate with charge nurse and nurse aides for patient care
  • Adhere to specific unit protocols and procedures

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or confirmation of application process
  • Must have Level 1 trauma experience
  • Must have previous travel experience
  • Experience with Heparin gtt
  • Valid BLS and NIHSS certifications

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit

PEL/VIP Job ID #64848703. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
